LGV & PCV Licence Requirements

Kent Metro's instructors are highly trained professionals, and the training they give is the very best money can buy

You will need to obtain a provisional LGV/PCV licence before your training can begin. The application forms D2 and D4 will be sent to upon request.

The D2 form is an application form to have a provisional entitlement for LGV/PCV added to your licence, it has to be completed by you.

The D4 form is the Medical Report, this has to be completed in the presence of a Doctor by both of you.

Once both forms have been completed send them to:

The Vocational Team
DVLA
Swansea
SA99 19R

There is no charge to have the Vocational entitlement added to your current Driving Licence. As soon as your licence has been returned to you with the new entitlement added, contact us and we will arrange your assessment drive.

Immediately after your assessment, we will then be able to put together your personal training plan, and at the same time give you an accurate cost for the training.

You should also apply for your theory test as soon as you receive your licence back from Swansea. Your theory test will cost £21.50, you will also need to read the book "The Official Theory Test for Large Vehicle Drivers" - £14.99.(W.H. Smith)

If we can be of further assistance do not hesitate to give us a call.
